What Does Sea Glass Higher Education do?
Sea Glass provides a broad range of consulting services to smaller colleges and universities with the goal of growing institutional and inter-institutional capacity in every facet of their activities, from institutional infrastructure to the direct learner experience. We have particular focus on faith-based institutions.
Why was Sea Glass Founded?
More than three decades of work at smaller colleges has convinced us of the important place that they occupy in the American higher education eco-system and of their inherent fragility. If they are to continue to play the important role they do, growing institutional capacity and inter-institutional collaboration with compatible partners will be key. Identifiying opportunities and facilitating connections is what Sea Glass does.
How is Sea Glass different from other consulting firms?
Most higher education support organizations focus on one facet of the institutional operating sphere. They specialize in something their clients might need and present themselves as experts in that area. This approach assumes that all institutions are essentially the same: they are organized in the same way, function in the same way, and need the same kinds of assistance.
